Marc Mendelsohn

Founding Partner

Marc Mendelsohn has over 15 years of real estate industry experience with extensive knowledge of acquiring, investing in and disposing of real estate assets and non performing loans. Marc has directed the acquisition, development and financing of $1+ Billion of commercial and residential real estate. At Bluestone, Marc is responsible for acquisition, financing, investor relations and asset management for the company.

Marc holds an MBA in Real Estate Investment/Finance from the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College and a B.S. from Touro College in Accounting/Finance.

Eli Tabak

Founding Partner

Eli Tabak is a seasoned veteran of the commercial real estate industry with more than 15 years in the business. Just prior to co-founding The Bluestone Group, Eli was a Managing Director at investment sales firm, GFI Realty Services. Over the course of his career he has successfully negotiated numerous high profile sales, as well as consulting and advising his clients during transactions.

As co-founder of The Bluestone Group, Eli oversees the sourcing, acquisition, litigation, workouts of non-performing debt, real estate acquisitions, as well as complex bankruptcy litigation and settlements.

Howard Wenig

General Counsel

Howard was previously a Founding Partner and Managing Partner at Belkin, Burden, Wenig and Goldman, a leading real estate law firm in New York City. As one of the four original founding partners in 1989,Howard was instrumental in the growth of the firm to nearly fifty attorneys 30 years later.

Howard has extensive experience representing buyers and sellers in the purchase, sale and financing of both commercial and residential properties. In addition to his law degree, Howard holds a Master’s in Business  Administration.

At Bluestone Howard will be responsible for overseeing all legal matters and assisting Eli Tabak and Marc Mendelsohn in negotiating and structuring acquisitions and financing.

Lisa Butler

Chief Operating Officer

Lisa Butler has extensive international management experience and joined Bluestone at the founding to oversee its administrative and financial operations. She is responsible for banking and vendor relations and internal management.

Lisa holds a European language degree and a marketing degree from the Wits Business School in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Rosella Romano

Executive Assistant

Rosella Romano is responsible for assisting both partners with daily operations, tenant management, clerical needs and office management. Rosella graduated from St. Joseph’s University with a B.S in Business Administration and International Business.
